The man who lost his ink washes

The next chapter of criminally neglected web comic is going to be rendered with ink washes. These here are a couple of trials for the main character. I'd really love to learn how to use water colours in a competent fashion, but I just can't say no to some magical digital colouring.

Australian infront - Native

Earlier this week Amy and I entered Australian Infront's themed visual response competition.  This time round the theme was 'Native', so our entries were amongst plenty of koalas, kangaroos and Ned Kellyish characters. Amy's piece got into the top 10 so we were very excited. You can see it here along with all the other shortlisted entries.

Unfortunately I find this kind of thing happening to me more and more often. Most of it anyway

 

Penguin Boy

The following is comicatisation (it's a word, I think) of a joke by the very talented comedian friend of mine Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall.  We performed together in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in a show called PANTS (pants). Al's joke was one of the funniest parts of the show, unfortunately we lacked the cash and surgical know how to fully realise his artistic vision. Until now.
